Key Responsibilities

• Research and write original articles, interviews, and features for Career Indaba’s print, web, and digital platforms.

• Cover topics including labour market trends, skills development, industry transformations, education, and career success stories.

• Collaborate with editors and researchers to develop story angles and editorial calendars.

• Conduct interviews with professionals, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and job seekers across the continent.

• Ensure content is accurate, fact-checked, and aligned with Career Indaba’s tone and purpose.

• Stay up to date with current affairs, economic data, and employment policy developments.

• Write across multiple formats including news pieces, op-eds, features, and profiles.

Who Should Apply?

• A strong communicator with excellent writing, research, and storytelling skills.

• At least a year of writing or journalism experience (student journalism, blogging, or freelance work accepted).
