We are seeking an insightful and organized Content Strategist to shape the planning, production, and distribution of high-impact content across our radio, digital, and print platforms.
This volunteer role is perfect for a big-picture thinker who can connect audience needs with purposeful, data-informed storytelling strategies that drive engagement and influence.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage multi-platform content calendars aligned with editorial, thematic, and campaign goals.

Conduct content audits and audience research to inform strategy and identify storytelling gaps or opportunities.

Work closely with editors, journalists, and media producers to ensure content consistency, relevance, and strategic alignment.

Coordinate cross-platform initiatives (e.g., feature series, workforce campaigns, digital specials) and track content performance.

Recommend content formats, platforms, and publishing timelines based on audience behaviors and engagement data.

Support SEO, tagging, and discoverability best practices for web and digital content.

Ensure that all content reflects Career Indaba’s mission, tone, and brand voice.
Who Should Apply?

A strategic communicator with 3+ years’ experience in content strategy, digital media, editorial planning, or marketing.

Deep understanding of how to connect content formats (articles, audio, visuals, social) to audience goals.

Strong organizational skills and comfort with editorial workflows and project management tools.

Familiarity with web analytics, SEO, and content lifecycle tracking.
