We are seeking a creative and mission-driven Graphic Designer to produce visually compelling designs that elevate our storytelling across print, digital, and broadcast platforms.
This volunteer role is ideal for a visual communicator with a flair for design, a strong understanding of branding, and a passion for driving social and economic impact through media.
Key Responsibilities

Design graphics, illustrations, infographics, and layouts for print articles, social media, marketing campaigns, and radio features.

Translate editorial and data content into engaging visuals that enhance understanding and audience engagement.

Maintain brand consistency across all visual outputs in alignment with Career Indaba’s identity.

Collaborate with writers, editors, and digital teams to deliver creative assets that support storytelling.

Design visual templates for publications, reports, newsletters, and event materials.

Optimize graphics for web, mobile, and social platforms.

Stay informed about visual trends, employment themes, and youth engagement design strategies.
Who Should Apply?

A creative professional with at least 2+ years of experience in graphic design, visual communication, or related fields.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or equivalent design tools.

Strong visual storytelling ability and attention to design detail, layout, and typography.

Able to manage multiple design projects and deliver on deadlines.

Experience with infographics, branding, or media design is a plus.

A portfolio showcasing creativity, range, and storytelling through design.
