Accelerate Your Career in Technical Engineering (Plastic Injection Moulding)

Drive innovation in plastic injection moulding by designing and developing precision moulds for products such as spice closures (grinder tops, flip tops). Lead the integration of automation and robotics to streamline production, while ensuring high-quality, manufacturable designs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to translate ideas into efficient solutions, all while enhancing production efficiency and reducing manual intervention.

 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Lead the development of new or improved plastic products.
  • Drive automation and system integration of manufacturing and assembly processes, incorporating robotics to enhance production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams (sales, product development, and operations) to translate customer concepts into manufacturable designs.
  • Create and review technical drawings, ensuring designs meet production feasibility, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of mould design, construction, and production, ensuring alignment with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Provide technical support in troubleshooting production issues and optimizing mould performance for continuous improvement.

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in plastic injection moulding, with a strong focus on mould design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other design tools required for mould design and product development.
  • Proven experience in implementing automation solutions and integrating robotics into manufacturing processes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the plastic injection moulding process, including mould construction and production requirements.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration across teams and with customers.
  • Ability to manage projects independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong technical acumen in injection moulding processes and automation technologies.
