Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain the integrity of electronic control systems, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure an updated inventory of all electronic control systems and components.
  • Manage backups for all electronic systems, ensuring they are stored at designated server locations.
  • Oversee access to electronic systems and ensure they are secured.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and servicing of electronic hardware components, panels, and related systems.
  • Compile and manage critical electronic spares lists to ensure availability of necessary parts.
  • Ensure that updated information (e.g., electrical drawings, manuals) related to electronic systems is available and accurate.
  • Prepare budget proposals and project schedules related to electronic systems maintenance and upgrades.
  • Manage the implementation of modifications to control systems and equipment.
  • Verify the functionality of modifications through acceptance tests and ensure documentation is up to date.
  • Coordinate the expansion and maintenance of Industrial Network infrastructure in collaboration with IT.
  • Provide data acquisition and reporting assistance to production personnel during troubleshooting and faultfinding activities.
  • Liaise with original equipment suppliers to provide technical support and assistance.
  • Work closely with the Group Automation & Control Project Manager to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Provide second-line support and problem-solving across the plant during operational hours and after hours when required.
  • Continuously improve line control systems and optimize inspection equipment to enhance overall plant performance.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • National Diploma in Electronics/Mechatronics, B Eng Mechatronics, or BSc Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintaining and servicing electronic systems in an industrial or FMCG environment.
  • Proven computer literacy, including MS Office. Experience with SAP PM will be an advantage.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Adaptability and willingness to stay updated with the latest technologies in automation and control systems.
