Core Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, including pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and grease systems.
- Conduct routine planned maintenance to ensure optimal operation of machinery and equipment in heavy industry.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues related to chain drives, drive shafts, fans, gearboxes, and conveyor belt systems.
- Maintain and service electrical motors and overhead cranes, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize maintenance schedules and improve operational efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics and Science.
- Trade Tested as a Millwright with 3-5 years of post-trade experience.
- Experience in a heavy industry environment.
- Valid driver’s license
