Core Responsibilities 

  • Operate and monitor paper mill and converting machines to ensure smooth production.
  • Set up machines according to production specifications, including adjustments for size, thickness, and speed.
  • Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality control and compliance with company standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting of machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure safety protocols and regulatory compliance are followed at all times.
  • Adjust machine settings to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Document production data, machine performance, and any incidents or faults.
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance teams for repairs and technical improvements.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and participate in training sessions as needed.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Technical or vocational training is a plus).
  • Prior experience operating paper mill or converting machinery is preferred.
  • Experience with paper processing, converting, and finishing equipment.
  • Familiarity with automated and computerized production systems.

Core Competencies 

  • Knowledge of machine operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic math and computer skills for tracking production data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Commitment to safety and quality control measures.
