Accelerate Your Career as an Energy Optimization Engineer

In this role you will analyze energy usage and optimize processes in boiler operations, coal management, and alternative fuels implementation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives that reduce costs and improve sustainability while contributing to our commitment to energy optimization within the sugar industry.

Core Responsibilities 

• Regularly calculate and monitor boiler efficiency to ensure optimal performance and operational standards.
• Oversee and manage coal quality, usage, and costs, maintaining a daily coal burn log to address cost-related issues effectively.
• Optimize water usage in pans and juice tanks to enhance extraction processes.
•  Analyze energy usage patterns, including power export and steam consumption, to identify areas for improvement.
•  Investigate and implement alternative fuels to reduce costs and enhance sustainability.
• Minimize exhaust steam letdown and enhance condensate return processes to improve energy recovery.
• Monitor steam percent cane and introduce measures to reduce losses and improve efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Chemical.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience
• Technical expertise in boiler operations and energy management.
• Specialized knowledge in optimizing energy usage and implementing alternative fuels.

• Analytical Skills: strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to assess energy efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
• Technical Knowledge: in-depth understanding of boiler operations and energy management principles.
• Communication Skills: effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings.
