Core Responsibilities 

  • Operate conventional machines, including lathes and milling machines, to perform precision turning, milling, and cutting of keyways.
  • Ensure quality control by using various critical measuring equipment to assess the accuracy and precision of machined parts.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety in the workspace to ensure a clean and organized working environment.
  • Be prepared to work extended hours at short notice due to the nature of the business, demonstrating flexibility and commitment.
  • Work efficiently under pressure and without supervision, showcasing strong self-management and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide traceable references and evidence of previous working experience as a Turner Machinist.
  • Maintain sober habits and adhere to workplace policies regarding substance use.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • A qualified Red Seal Artisan certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machinist.
  • Proven experience (minimum of 3 years) specifically in precision turning and machining operations.

Core Competencies 

  • Proficient in operating a variety of conventional machines with a strong focus on precision and quality.
  • Strong understanding of quality control processes and the ability to use critical measuring equipment effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality outputs and adherence to specifications.
