Core Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks on facility equipment, ensuring minimum production downtime.
- Serve as the first point of contact for breakdowns and ensure professional repairs, utilizing problem-solving tools (e.g., 5Y).
- Optimize machine performance to increase factory efficiency and reduce losses such as dry goods and costs.
- Coach operators on maintenance tasks, machine optimization, and the application of problem-solving techniques.
- Maintain housekeeping standards, record process performance, and ensure proper documentation during handovers and autonomous operations
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 or equivalent and Degree or diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Relevant Trade Test certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of technical experience in the brewing, beverage, or FMCG industry.
- Familiarity with electrical systems (controls, automation, VFDs, PLCs) and mechanical systems (welding, part fabrication, pneumatics, plumbing).
- Practical experience in high-speed bottling/packaging operations is highly advantageous.
- Certification in reliability-centered maintenance (e.g., CMRP) is preferred
