Join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering innovative engineering solutions by designing and detailing specialized mechanical applications. As a Mechanical Designer, you will work collaboratively to develop effective design solutions that meet customer specifications. You’ll be responsible for creating detailed designs, conducting design calculations, and specifying components for procurement. Your role will involve close collaboration with senior design engineers, ensuring compliance with ISO procedures and contributing to the overall success of projects. Utilize your technical expertise and creativity to bring concepts to life, while supporting assembly processes and ensuring high-quality standards in mechanical design.

Core Responsibilities 

• Collaborate within the design department team to deliver engineering designs and solutions tailored to customer requirements and specifications.
• Design and detail small special-purpose applications, ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Establish the most effective design solutions to meet required specifications and performance criteria.
• Specify components for procurement purposes, ensuring quality and suitability.
• Detail designs in conjunction with the assigned Senior Design Engineer or Design Engineer.
• Create Engineering Change Request (ECR) designs and details for small fixtures and tools.
• Provide assembly assistance during the assembly phase of projects, ensuring proper integration of designs.
• Create comprehensive design release packages for manufacturing purposes.
• Ensure compliance with ISO procedures related to project handover, concept development, design realization, and design sign-off.
• Actively participate as a team player, contributing to a collaborative design environment.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• National Diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Degree.
• Minimum of 3year of experience in a design capacity.
• Competence in concept development, design calculations, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Basic machine calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience.
• Basic understanding of material specifications and manufacturing processes.

Technical Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective design solutions.
• Proficiency in CAD software for design and detailing tasks.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment, contributing to group efforts and goals.
• Attention to detail in design documentation and compliance with industry standards.
