Core Responsibilities
- Setup and dismantle rigging equipment like cranes, pulleys, and winches.
- Ensure that loads are safely secured before lifting or moving them.
- Adhere to safety and compliance regulations and protocols to prevent accidents.
- Inspect and maintain rigging equipment and perform the necessary maintenance.
- Coordinate and work closely with crane operators, engineers, and other team members to coordinate lifting operations.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 or equivalent, N6 or equivalent Mechanical qualification and completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in mechanical work.
- Qualified Trade Test Mechanical Certificate.
- 3-5 years’ experience as a dedicated Mechanical Artisan Rigger.
- Relevant certifications in rigging, safety, and possibly welding or mechanical engineering.
- Computer literacy – MS Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license.
