Provide proactive technical assistance to maintenance personnel on complex mechanical systems, equipment, and processes. Ensure adherence to safety, health, environmental (SHE), and quality standards while actively participating in performance reviews, root cause analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Core Responsibilities 

• Provide technical support to improve the performance and availability of mining equipment.
• Identify and resolve issues causing excessive downtime.
• Test equipment for functionality and safety before returning it to production.
• Conduct failure analysis to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Train maintenance personnel on new systems and procedures.
• Design, install, and commission hydraulic system modifications as needed.
• Ensure compliance with environmental impact requirements.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in the maintenance and optimization of mining equipment.
• Extensive experience in the maintenance and optimization of mining equipment.
• Proven Experience in implementing solutions to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
• Familiarity with Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) compliance standards.

Core Competencies

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to conduct root cause analyses.
• Strong communication and training skills
• Knowledge of an Operating Model and best practice guidelines is a plus.
