A career as a Clinical Facilitator you will be responsible for bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and clinical practice by providing education, support, and guidance to nursing students, newly qualified nurses, and existing healthcare staff. This role ensures the maintenance of high clinical standards and promotes evidence-based practice through hands-on teaching and supervision.

Core Responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement clinical teaching programs to enhance knowledge and skills in healthcare settings
  • Conduct clinical skills assessments and evaluations to ensure proficiency and competency
  • Provide hands-on clinical supervision to support learning and skill application in real-time
  • Demonstrate clinical procedures and techniques to model best practices for trainees and staff
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical competencies to ensure high standards of care are met
  • Identify learning needs and develop personalized improvement plans for staff members
  • Support staff in achieving clinical objectives to promote continuous professional development
  • Guide the implementation of evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes
  • Assist with complex clinical situations by providing expertise and guidance to staff
  • Mentor newly qualified healthcare professionals to support their transition into clinical roles

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, with 5 years clinical experience
  • Previous teaching or mentoring experience
  • Experience in various clinical settings
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Track record of student development

 

Core Competencies

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively to colleagues, patients, and stakeholders
  • Utilize strong presentation and facilitation skills to engage audiences and lead effective training sessions
  • Apply expertise in assessment and evaluation to accurately measure performance and outcomes
  • Use conflict resolution skills to manage disagreements and foster a collaborative work environment
