Core Responsibilities 

  • Carry out operational tasks by adhering to established processes and performance standards.
  • Make accurate decisions related to vehicle claims, ensuring fair and reasonable cost-related decisions throughout the claim’s lifecycle.
  • Quantify, identify, and validate vehicle part costs efficiently and effectively
  • Handle complex customer cases and inquiries, ensuring high-quality service in line with pre-agreed functional standards.
  • Provide on-the-road, self-assessment, and digital assessments to deliver an all-encompassing service experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with service providers and customers to enhance overall service delivery.
  • Provide assistance and support in standard activities while demonstrating professionalism and superior service.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to support the claims lifecycle and ensure optimal cost management.
  • Coordinate with motor manufacturers to identify the required parts, validate pricing, and negotiate labor costs to secure the best deals for customers and the company.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Mechanical Engineering / Panel Beating N2/N3 Level (Advantageous)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical work, with hands-on workshop or motor industry experience (Essential)
  • Experience assessing vehicle damage or working within the short-term insurance industry (Advantageous)

Core Competencies 

  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems, with the ability to assess, diagnose, and resolve complex motor claims.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to manage claims and provide timely, professional support.
  • Negotiation skills for obtaining cost-effective pricing from manufacturers and service providers.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, managing workloads effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in vehicle damage assessment and claims handling.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple claims simultaneously.
