Core Responsibilities 

  • Ensure safe patient care by meeting set clinical quality standards according to company policies and procedures
  • Manage and mitigate clinical risks in the unit
  • Lead and manage the staff in the unit
  • Manage the unit’s operational and capital expenses according to financial and budget guidelines and ensure optimal utilisation of resources
  • Manage and actively contribute to a positive patient experience in the hospital
  • Support the achievement of interdepartmental outcomes
  • Manage key stakeholder relations

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Nursing and additionally a Postgraduate qualification in the unit’s specialist area
  • 5 years professional nursing experience in a hospital and 3 years leadership experience in a hospital
  • Experience in infection prevention and control
  • Experience in auditing and accreditation processes
  • Must have nursing functional knowledge

  • Able to respond effectively to unexpected situations during surgery
  • Ability to make quick, informed decisions, especially in high-pressure situations
  • Be aware of team dynamics and individual needs, offering appropriate support
  • Find solutions to complex problems with available resources, even under pressure
