Minimum Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Risk Management, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Professional Certifications and Licenses.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess risks, interpret data, and develop mitigation strategies. Meticulous attention to detail for conducting inspections, audits, and ensuring compliance. Organizational and project management skills to oversee SHERQ initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills for training, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Relevant internships or project work demonstrating practical application
  • Must be a citizen in the country and city of hire and be under the age of 34 years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct workplace safety audits and inspections
  • Identify and assess hazards, ensuring compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) standards
  • Implement and enforce Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
  • Participate in accident/incident investigations and reporting
  • Assist in risk assessments and mitigation plans
  • Monitor environmental compliance with regulations (ISO 14001, NEMA, etc.)
  • Support waste management and pollution control initiatives
  • Support emergency response planning and conduct safety drills
  • Maintain risk registers and safety records
