As a Senior Professional Nurse your role will be responsible to for providing high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in a healthcare setting, ensuring patient safety and well-being. They oversee nursing teams, mentor junior nurses, and play a key role in implementing and monitoring nursing practices, policies, and procedures in compliance with healthcare standards and regulations in South Africa.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive and compassionate care to patients, assessing their healthcare needs and providing appropriate treatments.
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with clinical guidelines and legal requirements.
- Ensure comprehensive and safe patient care by mitigating risks and meeting set clinical quality standards
- Manage the patient experience
- Ensure optimal supply, retention and utilisation of staffing resources
- Empower and build staff competence through continuous assessment and development
- Assist with the effective management of operational expenses
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in General Nursing Midwifery
- 3 years of experience in nursing
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards in South Africa

- Ability to work well under pressure and manage complex situations.
