Minimum Qualifications & Competencies
- National Diploma in Food Technology, Consumer Sciences, or Quality Management.
- Knowledge of quality systems and standards, particularly within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze data for continuous improvement.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and operating procedures is an advantage.
- A basic understanding of cold chain management and digitization in QA systems is beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting travel tests on products of concern to ensure they meet standards.
- Troubleshoot high Return Product Counts (RPCs) by conducting root cause analysis and working with suppliers, distribution centres, and restaurants to improve product quality.
- Support the maintenance and reporting of ‘Across the Counter Quality’ (ATCQ) and ‘Behind the Counter Quality’ (BTCQ) programs by following up with suppliers and stores.
- Assisting in Preparing for supplier meetings, and audits, and ensuring the tracking of clean labels for affected products.
- Assist in Tracking and following up on beverage audits to ensure any corrective actions are taken and trends are reported.
- Work as part of a cross-functional team to improve cold chain management processes across distribution centres and restaurants, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist with the continuous improvement of product quality through cooking validations, new product development (NPD), and collaborations with key stakeholders.
