Core Responsibilities 

• Install, maintain, and repair a variety of pumps including centrifugal, submersible, diaphragm, and positive displacement types.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical faults in pumping and reticulation systems.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on complex pump networks and associated piping.
• Replace mechanical seals, bearings, impellers, and perform system alignments.
• Perform full system installations and commissioning of water reticulation setups.
• Test and calibrate systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Work from engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Accurately document all service activities, inspections, and recommendations.
• Support and mentor junior technicians on-site where needed.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
• Recognised Trade Test Certificate (e.g., Fitter, Millwright, Mechanical Technician).
• Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in pump installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Proven experience with water reticulation systems in industrial, municipal, or commercial settings.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and fluid dynamics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, layout drawings, and P&IDs.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various client sites.
• Physically fit and able to work in challenging environments (e.g., confined spaces, heights, remote areas).
• Plumbing qualification or certification would be an added advantage.
