As an Operational Paramedic you will be responsible for delivering advanced life support and critical care to patients in pre-hospital settings, which includes performing complex medical procedures such as endotracheal intubation, cardioversion, and advanced cardiac life support.

Core Responsibilities 

• Respond promptly to emergency calls and arrive at the scene in a safe and timely manner
• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s condition, including vital signs, level of consciousness, and chief complaint
• Provide appropriate and effective emergency medical care based on the patient’s presentation and applicable treatment protocols
• Initiate and maintain advanced life support interventions as required
• Perform advanced trauma care techniques (e.g., hemorrhage control, splinting, spinal immobilization)
• Monitor the patient’s condition and make adjustments to treatment as needed during transport

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• National Diploma in emergency medical care with 1 years advanced life support operational experience
• HPCSA registration as a paramedic
• Valid driver’s license with Professional Driving Permit
• EMS environment
• Facilities, travel routes and demographical area
