Core Responsibilities
- Operate conventional milling machines, grinding machines, and lathes for mould repairs and maintenance.
- Perform mould repairs and maintenance according to quality system requirements, ensuring parts meet specifications and cosmetic standards.
- Follow all safety requirements, ensure safety devices are operational, and shut down or lock out equipment as necessary. Report any defects in safety devices to the supervisor.
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled and recorded, reporting any potential machine problems or equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate with production staff and process technicians to ensure optimal machine performance, reduce unnecessary stoppages, and provide assistance in handling and approach.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 with 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical field
- Preferred qualification as a Toolmaker.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings
