About the role
We are seeking a motivated Millwright Intern to join the team. This internship provides an opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment used in a chemical manufacturing environment. As a Millwright Intern, you will work closely with experienced millwrights to learn about maintaining machinery and ensuring compliance with industry safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment critical to chemical manufacturing.
• Learn to identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems, assisting in the implementation of effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Help with inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
• Assist in the installation and calibration of new machinery and equipment according to specifications, ensuring adherence to safety and operational guidelines.
• Work with production and engineering teams to coordinate maintenance activities and support operational efficiency.
• Adhere to safety protocols specific to chemical manufacturing.
• Accurately document maintenance activities and parts used.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in mechanical systems within a chemical manufacturing context.
• Understanding of basic mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics is beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
