Minimum Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. Advanced degrees or specialized courses in media and communication can enhance career prospects
- Strong writing and editing abilities, proficiency in media and communication tools, understanding of media laws and ethics, and the ability to craft compelling messages.
- Creativity, strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
- Relevant internships or project work demonstrating practical application.
- Must be a citizen in the country and city of hire and be under the age of 34 years.
Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Manage press releases, media inquiries, and public relations campaigns.
- Create and implement communication strategies that align with organizational goals and address key issues, opportunities, and challenges.
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all media channels. Develop and execute brand strategies to enhance public perception and brand identity.
- Manage communication during crises or emergencies, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders and mitigating potential damage to the organization’s reputation.
- Develop and manage social media strategies, create content, engage with followers, and analyze performance metrics to drive engagement and reach.
- Organize and manage media events, press conferences, and promotional activities to generate media coverage and support communication objectives.
