Minimum Qualifications & Competencies

  • Proficiency in GIS software, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, knowledge of spatial data formats and standards, and familiarity with remote sensing techniques.

  • Relevant internships or project work demonstrating practical application.
  • Must be a citizen in the country and city of hire and be under the age of 34 years.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, manage, and maintain spatial data from various sources, including satellite imagery, surveys, and geographic databases.
  • Create maps, charts, and visualizations to represent spatial data and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
  • Analyze spatial data to identify patterns, trends, and relationships. Perform tasks such as site selection, network analysis, and suitability modeling.
  • Utilize GIS software and tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, ERDAS IMAGINE) to perform data analysis, create maps, and manage geographic information.
  • Develop and maintain spatial databases, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility.
  • Plan and execute GIS projects, including defining objectives, managing resources, and delivering results within deadlines.
  • Work with various stakeholders, including planners, engineers, and policymakers, to provide GIS support and integrate spatial data into decision-making processes.
