Why a Career Transition as an Enrolled Nurse Medical Ward? 

A career as an Enrolled Nurse you will provides direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Professional Nurses in the medical ward, delivering quality nursing care in accordance with the Nursing and within the scope of practice as defined by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).

 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team  Identify
  • Prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety
  • Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
  • Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence
  • Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Nursing, and  1 year post qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit
  • knowledge of Basic life support
  • Knowledge of Infection prevention and control
  • Strong clinical observation skills

 

Core Competencies

  • Excellent communication skills in English and at least one other official South African language
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist in patient mobility
