As a Emergency Doctor you will be providing immediate medical care to patients in critical conditions, handling trauma cases, and performing a variety of emergency medical procedures. This role requires a professional who can quickly assess, diagnose, and stabilize patients while working in a fast-paced and often high-stress environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide immediate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients presenting with a range of acute illnesses and injuries
• Perform emergency procedures, including intubation, suturing, and resuscitation, to stabilize patients
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and paramedics, to provide comprehensive care
• Make swift decisions regarding patient admissions, referrals, and follow-up care
• Keep accurate and detailed records of patient diagnoses, treatment plans, and medical histories
• Participate in on-call rotation for the emergency department

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• MBCHB with 3 years experience in an emergency setting
• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa
• Postgraduate certification or specialization in Emergency Medicine will be advantageous
