Core Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat skin, hair, and nail disorders, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer, and other dermatological conditions
• Perform cosmetic dermatology procedures, such as laser treatments, chemical peels, and injectables, depending on patient needs and qualifications
• Conduct thorough skin examinations and provide education on skin health, sun protection, and skincare
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress, adjusting treatments as necessary
• Perform surgical dermatological procedures, such as mole removal and biopsies, when required
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including oncologists, allergists, and plastic surgeons, to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with South African healthcare regulations and standards
• Stay updated on the latest dermatology research, treatments, and technology

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• MBChB degree with 3-5 years of post-registration experience in dermatology
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a specialist in Dermatology
• Experience with both medical and cosmetic dermatology is advantageous
• Familiarity with advanced dermatological technologies and treatments
