Minimum Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Professional Certifications and Licenses.
  • Proficiency in security tools, technologies, and protocols, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and encryption. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address security threats and vulnerabilities. Understanding of current cyber threats, attack vectors, and malware types.
  • Effective communication skills to convey security concepts and incidents to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Keen attention to detail to identify potential security issues and ensure comprehensive protection.
  • Relevant internships or project work demonstrating practical application.
  • Must be a citizen in the country and city of hire and be under the age of 34 years.

Key Responsibilities

Security Assessment and Analysis:

  • Identify and evaluate vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications to assess potential security risks.
  • Conduct simulated attacks on systems to identify weaknesses and evaluate the effectiveness of security measures.
  • Monitor and analyze threat intelligence to understand emerging threats and potential attack vectors.

Security Implementation:

  • Design and implement security architecture and controls to protect IT infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and encryption.
  • Manage and enforce access controls, including user authentication, authorization, and permissions.
  • Develop and execute incident response plans to address and mitigate security breaches and cyber incidents.

Monitoring and Detection:

  • Continuously monitor network traffic, system logs, and security alerts to detect and respond to suspicious activities or breaches.
  • Investigate security incidents, analyze the impact, and coordinate response efforts to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations, standards, and best practices for data protection and cybersecurity (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
  • Assess and manage security risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and implement security policies and procedures.

Training and Awareness:

  • Conduct training and awareness programs for employees on security best practices, phishing prevention, and safe computing habits.
  • Create and maintain documentation for security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
